"A Leap in the Right Direction" was my first site specific installation, which had been installed on the Langara campus in multiple locations for a year. During this time, I would receive constant messages and scroll by pictures, tagged images, funny videos featuring my sculptures. People would send me tiktoks and photos of kids, strangers interacting with my frog. Unfortunately not all of the attention was wholesome, but I found that thee constant maintenance, problem solving, and reinforcing brought me closer to my work and what kind of spaces I wanted to create and transform in the public realm.
